1:1 Dog Walking services in Crowborough:
Personalised dog walks provided on a solo basis allowing your dog all the attention
Walks, Walkies, The W Word…
Whatever you call them in your house, there’s no denying walks can be a fun and very fulfilling part of a dog’s life, but….
It isn’t always that simple. For some dogs and owners, walks can be pretty stressful. Issues of reactivity can lead to hiding behind cars, in hedges, or repeatedly crossing the road. Conversely, enthusiastic walkers like young puppies may have your shoulder aching and heart racing as you’re dragged from pillar to post. I can help, even if you just need one day a week off from walking duties.
Solo dog walks
Is your dog is an adventurer who could bound about all day long or are they a laid back character preferring a slow plod not venturing too far? A huge benefit of my solo walks are that your dog can make the walk whatever they want it to be, after all it’s their walk not mine. Walks with me are a door to door service lasting either half an hour or an hour.
Why have a dog walker:
-
Time is precious, it's the one thing we have no control over. Sometimes we're just too pushed for time to make sure our dogs are getting what they want and need. Booking walks can take some of the pressure off fitting everything into your day.
-
Improve your dogs overall well-being with the enrichment provided from walks. Sniffing, sensory stimulation, mind games, and socialisation are all examples of ways walks can improve your dogs life. Walks not only help with all that physical energy, but they can also reduce stress and boredom through enrichment.
-
For most of us, we have to go to work. That often means leaving our dogs home alone for some, or even most of the day. The hours your dog spends snoozing and watching out the window can be punctuated by a little injection of fun and excitement in the form of a walk. Oh, and that all important chance to relieve themselves away from your furniture.
-
Take a break and let the dog walker handle the walks occasionally. Walks can be overwhelming, especially on tough or rainy days, and knowing someone else is taking care of them can be a relief. Our dogs can sense our emotions—if you're anxious, it's likely they are too. Allowing someone else to take the lead can reduce your stress, making your time together more enjoyable.

Exercised and content
"Fabulous service, Maddie loves Katie and always comes back exercised and content. Very friendly, reliable and professional. Very happy to recommend.”
– Pam, [Crowborough]
Are 1:1 walks right for your dog:
Your dog is human/dog-reactive, or takes a while to feel comfortable around other people or dogs.
You have a puppy or a senior dog not suited for group walk situations.
Your dog is nervous, needing more space and time than others.
Your dog wants all the attention to themselves.
You’d just rather your dog walk solo.
Meet Reggie
Reggie can find some aspects of walks harder than others,
Reggie is nine, he adopted from Romania aged five. Unfortunately due to his previous life, he is very scared of things other dogs may not notice, such a children, walking sticks, umbrellas, pushchairs etc. He can also be very reactive to dogs when he’s on lead.
Walks with Reggie started slow, we we’re walking at the same time, but not together. With time we’ve built a bond and now we make a pretty good team.
“Reggie loves his walks, especially with Katie, she is so kind and compassionate towards Reg and he clearly loves seeing her” Clare, Crowborough
A fun fact about Reggie: he loves to dig holes to snooze in…
Frequently Asked Questions
Q: Do you offer walks on weekends?
A: I do not offer walks on the weekends, I can however suggest other professional dog walkers who do cover weekends.
Q: Can I book on an ad hoc basis?
A: Yes, there is no need to book in weekly, however please note I have limited availability for ad hoc walks.
Q: Will you take me dog off lead on walks?
A: For full peace of mind, and as many of the dogs I walk are not suitable for off lead walking, dogs are kept on lead when with me.
Q: Can you walk my two (or more) dogs together?
A: Yes, although my walks are solo that does not mean multi-dog households are excluded. If you have two or more dogs they can all walk together with me, there is a £4 fee per additional dog.
Q: What do I need to provide for my dog’s walks?
A: All I need from you is a suitable harness, collar, and lead (not extendable/retractable). I will provide poop bags and treats (including hypoallergenic).
